David Tran, AMFT

As a counselor and therapist, I have a substantial amount of experience serving children, families, neurodivergent individuals, as well as intergenerational trauma in immigrant families. I strive to create a space where these experiences can be told, without judgment but with curiosity.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of California, Riverside, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University.

My approach is rooted in narrative therapy and social constructionism. It is important to recognize that identity and belonging can carry profound meaning in how we view ourselves in this world. Empathy and space are pillars that keep me grounded with you as your therapist. It is not always a comfortable experience to share your life with someone new. I am dedicated to building an ethical relationship above all else.

Therapy becomes a place where you do not navigate life’s difficulties alone. We can not always change the circumstances we find ourselves in but we can move forward in search of our better selves.
