Melissa Jacovani, AMFT

I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from La Sierra University. I enjoy working with couples, individual adults, and adolescents, while also having experience supporting children.

My clinical experience includes working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I believe that every individual has a unique story, and I approach therapy with the understanding that each person’s experiences, strengths, and needs are different. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you will feel heard, understood, and empowered to work toward meaningful changes.

My therapeutic approach is primarily grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to help you recognize and understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I also integrate techniques from other therapeutic approaches, including family systems, solution-focused therapy, and person-centered therapy, tailoring interventions to your goals and circumstances.

I believe therapy is a collaborative journey built on trust, compassion, and understanding. My hope is to help you recognize strengths, overcome obstacles, and develop the tools you need to create healthier relationships and a more fulfilling life.
